So, Why is Our Chicken Pink?
Image
If you notice a pink hue in our smoked chicken, that’s actually a sign of real barbeque.
When our chicken is slow smoked over hickory wood, a natural chemical reaction occurs between the smoke and the meat. This reaction can create a pink color just beneath the surface. This is called a “smoke ring.”
Rest assured, all our chicken is fully cooked to an internal temperature of 165°F. The color comes from the smoking process. It’s just one more way you can tell your chicken was smoked low and slow, the right way.
