A new year is here, and our resolution is the same as it is every year: give back every chance we can. And you can help! Now while supplies last, purchase a new limited-edition Stay True tumbler for $5, and we’ll donate all profits to the Resurrecting Lives Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to supporting veterans living with traumatic brain injury. Your 2017 tumbler gets you free refills with any purchase through the end of March, as well as the knowledge that you’re helping support our nation’s veterans. This year’s tumbler boasts a totally new design—it’s super cute—and quantities are limited, so be sure to get yours quick!

This is the third year we’ve raised money for the Resurrecting Lives Foundation, and we’re proud to have raised more than $24,500 to date. Founded in 2012, Resurrecting Lives works to help veterans with traumatic brain injury successfully transition to a post-military career and life through advocacy, aid, fundraising, and research, and we are thrilled to be able to do our part again in 2017. As Resurrecting Lives founder and executive director Dr. Chrisanne Gordon said, in thanks for last year’s donation, City Barbeque is “engaging the entire community in this effort to support our military members, veterans, and their families affected by traumatic brain injury.” The foundation estimates that nearly 20–25% of troops returning from Iraq and Afghanistan suffer from traumatic brain injury. Make a resolution to help City Barbeque support our nation’s heroes in 2017!

We’re so excited to start the new year with another fantastic fundraiser for Resurrecting Lives, but City Barbeque is truly giving back all year round. We’re proud to partner with the American Cancer Society (remember Quetoberfest?), Future Farmers of America, and Food Rescue (more about our work with local food banks here), as well as organizations in communities served by each City Barbeque joint (learn how to hold your fundraiser here). We also love to support our veterans whenever we can, like when we recognize our troops and military veterans with a free meal on Veteran’s Day—we served more than 7,000 free meals in 2016 alone!
