City Barbeque is celebrating 15 years of business and of giving back to the communities in which it serves. The anniversary celebration will take place Monday, January 12 through Sunday, January 25 and will include in-restaurant excitement and giveaways for loyal guests along with a charitable giving campaign for the Resurrecting Lives.

“We’re very happy to partner with Resurrecting Lives. They do a great job giving opportunities to vets for advancement, education and growth," said City Barbeque President and Founder, Rick Malir.

Based in Dublin, Ohio, Resurrecting Lives advocates for returning heroes and their families by collaborating with civilian institutions to provide health care, education and employment, specifically for those Veterans with traumatic brain injury. City Barbeque guests can help out by purchasing $5 beverage tumblers, which get the benefit of free refills with any purchase through March 31st; 100% of tumbler sales proceeds will go to the Resurrecting Lives Foundation.

In addition to the Resurrecting Lives Foundation, company-wide charity ties include ongoing partnerships with Future Farmers of America, Elderheart. an organization promoting social awareness for post-traumatic stress disorder in Veterans, and Food Rescue, which collaborates with local food banks to freeze and donate any quality leftovers at each City Barbeque location. All locations partner with local organizations to give back to the communities in their backyards. As a company initiative City Barbeque allows any non-profit to host fundraisers at their locations with 25 percent of sales brought in going directly back to their cause. In 2014, City Barbeque held almost 2,000 fundraising events for local charities.
